Sharpening the Axe

The Sharpening the axe is the great story that I heard some time back. The short story goes on like this. Once stayed a young man in the country side, lately he had a got an axe and thought to make his living by cutting the trees in forest and selling it. Initially he used to cut more tress and earn a lot. after some weeks he found that he was cutting less trees compared to some days back. He could not make out the reason, instead he used to strain himself by working more hours in a day. This young man had an wise uncle. The young man told his concern to his uncle. The the uncle suggested that he should sharpen the axe regualarly so that it is always sharp and helps him in cutting more trees in a day. Later the young man was able to correct his mistake.

Coming back to the theme/moral of the story. Today in this dynamic world, is there any wise uncle who would advise us from time to time, to let us know our mistake and provide a solution.
What is this axe mean in each profession. How important is to sharpen your axe regularly and what are the means.
One of the way of sharpening is, at one point of time one should say enough. He is not going to strain too much now. He would relax. Relax for some time and later get back to accomplish the work. this is the general and universal solution that one can think off.
Apart from this I would say, one should pursue a interest in some thing like Travelling, Painting, Trekking, Photography, Music, Sports etc. This would help him a lot and relieve him from the Stress that he has to take in work. His interest in these activities makes him more lively and active. In these things he would see that world which he could have never imagined in his work. More over he will not be a "Koup Mandook". This interest gives him the big world to live with and to know. This interest of the person gets him more friends, shows him more places and tells him that World is really big and the world which he knows is really very small.
